When Cleuza Marques da Silva was studying agricultural engineering at the University of São Paulo in the 1970s, she was one of only a handful of female students. Fast forward 50 years and Cleuza, now retired, sits in her home in Brazil surrounded by her four daughters— Maíra, Denise, Soraia, and Mariane—all home for winter holiday. Remarkably, three daughters are now engineers and one is a lawyer.
